The Cheshire Cat
Woodcut, ink on paper, 8" x 10"This series of 20 was printed using three 8" x 10" pieces of Shino plywood, one block for each color. The green and magenta were printed first, one at a time, and then the black "key block" was printed on top in the traditional Japanese way. The Cheshire Cat was the third design of my Alice in Wonderland Series. Each print is a unique expression of the printing process, and thus all prints are a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
